A feasibility study is only bankable when it answers the questions a credit committee will actually pose. In green hydrogen and ammonia, those questions are remarkably consistent.
1. Who is buying, and on what terms?
An offtake agreement with a creditworthy counterparty, with a floor price and a volume band, does more for your debt sizing than any technical refinement.
2. Where does the power come from?
Lenders want contracted renewable supply with a demonstrable generation profile, not an assumption about merchant prices.
3. What happens to the water?
Feedstock water, treatment, brine disposal and permitting must all be resolved on paper before construction starts.
4. How proven is the technology train?
Reference plants, warranties and performance guarantees matter more than efficiency claims on a data sheet.
5. What is the ramp-up curve?
Model the first eighteen months honestly. Lenders discount optimistic year-one availability more than anything else in the model.
